Clairault Logo high res

Established in 1976, Clairault Wines was the sixth property to plant vines and remains one of the oldest privately owned vineyard estates within the premier Wilyabrup sub-appellation of the Margaret River Wine Region.

With a distinct focus on quality rather than volume, Clairault produces 200 tonne of exceptional wines and continues to enjoy much success at prestigious wine shows within Australia and overseas.
The introduction of biological farming and a low intervention approach in the vineyard has resulted in high quality crops and ensured that only the purest of fruit is produced, thus achieving optimum flavour.

These environmentally responsible vineyard management practices will enable Clairault to practice Sustainable Farming for the Future.  Biological farming is a mix of organic and conventional farming techniques which places a strong emphasis on soil biology.

The low intervention approach is the practice that builds up the health and immune system of the whole vineyard, hence reducing the risks of pest and disease outbreaks.  This, along with the outstanding winemaking skills of Will Shields and his team, has helped create wines that are truly unique and distinctive to Clairault’s vineyard.
