From small beginnings Plantagenet Wines is now one of the most respected Western Australian wineries consistently producing quality wines for nearly 30 years. Fruit for many of the wines is sourced from the oldest vineyards in the Great Southern region.
The 5 star Halliday rated winery is located in the heart of Mt Barker township which is 350kms south of the Western Australian capital of Perth. The vineyards are located to the south and west of the township. The climate is considered cool to moderate with rainfall around 700ml annually.
A range of wines are produced over several brands. Varieties include Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and various blends.
During WA Wine Month Plantagenet are holding four Sharp Infusion Cooking Classes and a Plantagenet Wines masterclass.
